Why is the gov.br route down?
Per the Fazenda page, Medida Provisória 1.394 of 25 September 2026 banned fixed-odds betting, so the platform is unavailable. The gov.br service page still describes it as live: in its text read on 15 October 2026, no line mentions MP 1.394 or unavailability. What the phone and the blocker apps actually do
Google’s help page documents per-app timers and a PIN de limites para apps, so only the PIN holder can change the limits. The help page read describes no website blocking, so a browser is not covered. The Apple page covers site filtering only for a child account, not your own iPhone.
The GamblingBlock listing describes a local VPN that redirects traffic, Accessibility Services that detect gambling content on screen, and device-administrator permission that makes uninstalling harder. It calls itself autoexclusão, but it is a private app, not the SPA system. BetBlocker says it is free, anonymous and runs in the background; the text read does not state which platforms it supports. It is a charity registered in Scotland, per its own page, which is not a Brazilian authorisation.
