This desk read the Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) self-exclusion page, the gov.br service card and the Planalto text of the MP on 8 October 2026. The service card carries no MP 1.394 notice in the text read, and still sends citizens to the SPA page with these steps:
- Log in with a gov.br account at prata or ouro level.
- Choose the reason for the exclusion and the period.
- Read and accept the Termos de Uso and the personal-data policy.
- Declare that, while excluded, you cannot access SPA-authorised platforms or receive targeted advertising.
Per the card, the service is free, and the bets (the legal shorthand for operators) had up to 72 hours from identifying a request to apply it.
How long does a betting self-exclusion last?
Sources differ. The SPA page says a minimum of one month, for a fixed or indefinite term. Rádio Senado, reporting the platform’s 10 December 2025 launch, gave one to 12 months or indefinite. How the system performed is in our assessment of the central self-exclusion system.
Why does the platform say it is unavailable?
MP 1.394 bans fixed-odds betting nationwide. Art. 7 gives operators ten days from publication to take sites and apps offline, and Art. 4 extinguishes authorisations under Lei 14.790/2023 thirty days from publication; the refund calendar covers the money. Art. 11 keeps those operators reporting to the SPA through Sigap, including on jogo responsável measures, the system behind the Impedidos module.
None of the three official pages read says what happens to an exclusion already in force. As of this writing, the MP is a provisional measure that Congress must convert to become permanent law.
